Hello there! My name is Cameron Haddad, I am glad you stumbled along to my "About Me" page. I completed by Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, EECS for short, from the University of California, Irvine with Honors. In industry, I worked at Belkin (Linksys division), Syng, and currently Rivian. Looking forward to potentially collaborating with you in any capacity!

Growing up, familial financial struggles could not afford me the privilege to tinker around with my own personal computer. So, I would escape away to my best friend's place where his father worked in IT with access to computers. To me, I was captivated by the boot up process of a compute platform (seeing the boot screen loading and pondering at the concept of boot up) as well as operating systems at large. Thereon, I developed a deep passion for embedded devices / systems. On a more personal level, I enjoy spending time with loved ones and making life less mundane, more experiential by immersing myself: in nature, in different cultures, in new things!

My interests mainly are in Linux Kernel, U-Boot, build systems like Yocto / OpenEmbedded, and embedded system architecture + firmware / software development. I am always trying to learn new things and happy to embrace humility! I admit there is always something for me to learn. The feedback from my fellow peers are always valued. The best part of any job I take is working with others in healthy collaboration.

To learn more about projects I have worked on, head over to the Projects tab. Also, check out my blog posts where I present technical information, personal views / opinions.

Last but not least, a special thanks to those who helped me get to where I am today! I am forever grateful for our meaningful interactions and connection. I am not me without you. Cheers to tomorrow!
